Britney Spears on why she married K-Fed

More advance details have leaked from Britney Spears’ upcoming hour long documentary, “On the Record,” which airs on November 30 on MTV. Yesterday we heard that Britney compared her life to a neverending jail sentence. It sounded like a complaint about the medication she’s on, but some interpreted it as her resentment at her father’s conservatorship and control of her affairs.

Britney also discussed why she married her backup dancer, Kevin Federline. She said that she was enamored with the romantic idea of marriage in general, and not necessarily with K-Fed in particular.

“I think I married for the wrong reasons. Instead of following my heart and doing what made me really happy, I just did it for the sake of the idea of everything.” [via Celebedge]

Britney may be getting back in the saddle after a few brief romances with industry types. She was seen out to dinner in LA on Monday night with a group of people that included an unknown handsome dark-haired guy. The mystery man even drove while Britney was in the passenger seat. E! Online identifies him as the manager at the hair salon she frequents, and quotes a source as saying that they’re just friends.

In another advance clip of the Britney documentary, shown below, the 26 year-old mother of two says that dancing is cathartic for her and “art is therapy.” Maybe that’s how she ended up with a backup dancer in the first place.
